How UniqueBook uses your photos

When you continue, you confirm you have the right to use the photos you add to create the book.

The photos you add, and each character's role, age group, a child's age in years and appearance details, are sent to our image-processing partner (Sunra.ai, which passes them to image models such as OpenAI's and Google's; Kie.ai as a backup) to draw the style previews and the character portraits. The cover and the pages are then drawn from the portraits you approve and the same details. Names are never sent to the image service.

Your characters' names, roles, a child's age in years and the story details you write (moments, things to include, special phrase) are sent to our text-processing partner (Claude, by Anthropic, through Sunra.ai; or a text model through Kie.ai) to write the story. The drawn pictures (not your photos) are also sent to Claude through Sunra.ai to check that they match the story.

If you sign your book (for example "Love, Grandma"), the name you sign with ("Grandma") is also sent to that text partner, so the story knows who the book is from.

If your book has a pet or a favorite toy in it, a smaller copy of each photo is also sent to a checking service (Claude, by Anthropic, through Kie.ai) that only checks whether it shows a person, an animal or a toy. Names, roles and other text are not sent to it.

You approve every character before any story page is drawn. Story pages use your approved portraits as references, not your original photos. If you add a second illustration style to your order, its characters are redrawn in that style from the same photos and the details you approved, without a separate approval step. There is no face-swap and no biometric matching.

Want your photos deleted? Write to us via the Contact page and we delete them by hand. UniqueBook keeps your photos and the pictures made from them so it can finish your book. We don't delete them automatically yet, and we haven't yet confirmed how long Sunra.ai and Kie.ai keep the photos they receive.
